I have a 6" Palembang and a 4" turgidus. I am trying to diversify their diet.
I buy fresh water snails from a chinese grocerie they range in size from about a dime to a quarter. I buy them live and then freeze them. I smash the shells and feed then to my GSPs, Modestus and F8s.
Can I also do this for the Palembang and the turgidus. They are not the hunt and peck type, I wave a shrimp around and they wolf it down. I was worried perhaps they are not able to handle the shells on snails.
Thanks

They will hunt them down eventually if you leave live snails in their tanks. Both tend to be nighttime hunters IME.

Re: Quick pisivore feeding question
I don't know about the Palembang, but my turgidus absolutely loves snails. Its his favorite food, once he learned what they were. Live and whole, or crushed. At first if you've never fed them he might not know what to do with it, but one bite should be enough to convince him they are good.
