New puffers pretty soon again :-)
Earlier this week I got an e-mail with an offer to buy both palembangensis and baileyi! A very good price too!

And where are you going to put them!!! From the sounds of things you have tons of tanks, must have a big place!
Enjoy.....I have no more room for tanks even if I come across a deal!

Re: New puffers pretty soon again :-)
I don't know when I get them yet. It's no hurry for the man selling them, and I have to cycle a new tank for one of them first.flamesofifreet wrote:Congrats! When are you getting them?
With the very small tanks (for fry) included, I have 22 of them up and running right now. I have one more tank I have to start cycling now, and that's the last one I have. But that one I have trouble with finding room for! 6 of my tanks are in two differnt racks, and 5 more (plus that last one I haven't started yet) is waiting for me to get enough money for another rack. If you don't have the room, you have to start placing them up highAnd where are you going to put them!!! From the sounds of things you have tons of tanks, must have a big place!

BTW, I own half a house. And since I live there all alone (except for my little zoo

Today I got my little dragon, and she is absolutely gorgeous!
I've had her for half an hour, and I'm already in love.

Re: New puffers pretty soon again :-)
nice fish! -- is this species 100% a lurker, or does it cruise the tank much ? seems like a lot of the pics i see of them, they are active --- if so, seems like a good choice for someone who wants a lurker but doesnt want to be bored to death (like me)

Re: New puffers pretty soon again :-)
It's too early for me to tell. I've had her for less than 24 hours
But she seems to be something more than my suvatti. The suvatti is the most boring puffer I have, only moving around when he thinks there's food on it's way. Else he is hiding. The palembang is hiding in the plants that's floating around in the tank, so she lets me get some good pics of her
Ah! There I have her name: Dragonfly. My little dragon, who doesn't rest on the bottom.

Re: New puffers pretty soon again :-)
Why do I always find lurkers so much easier to take the first shrimp, than the more active puffers? It's supposed to be the other way around! No problem to get my little Dragonfly to take a shrimp. It was at the first try (I can't remeber it being so easy with any of my other puffers).
Good to know it won't be a problem to make her eat.
I'm really in love with that fish!
