My abei (still unnamed - I just haven't come up with anything yet), was together with a pleco (L-001) for a while. A short while, that is. I suspected it wouldn't work out, and was surprised to find the pleco in one piece for a few weeks. But at one of my trips home from the hospital, I found the pleco suddenly had a nasty wound on his/her belly. I had no doubts about who was the guilty one. So I just had to move the pleco at once. Lucky him/her, because (s)he got almost three times the tank size (s)he used to live in. And (s)he seems to have healed nicely :D

I've read through most of this thread now: Woland, you have a Fahaka too? Can I please come and visit you some day! Actually I've said "hi" to a turgidus coming from you once (at Majorstuen Zoo), but I didn't buy that one. But I would be very interested in a sneak peek into your "puffer world" in Oslo.

Pufferpunk, I remembered reading somewhere that you kept a hermit crab with your GSPs..... how did that turn out?
It only lasted a few months, before they got him.

Sorry about hijacking, but I just have to tell you how much I've missed you! And the reason why I do it here, is that I just love your way of saying things in this thread. You are a bunch of lovely, funny peoply. I suddenly remeber why I used to hang around here so much. I just had to tell you! :D
Now back to topic.

Ok, I tried a Severum about the same size as my Fahaka.. Oh it was OK the first night (because I fed the puffer) .. Day two, Fahaka was stalking the Severum day and night, noticed some minor fin nips, Day three, puffer still stalking him, attempting ambushes, removed Severum, put into my rainbow tank.

Severum experiment failed. Severum's are wayyy too shy and mild to work.

Wow, all this talk of agressive tankmate. I always (so far) have had the luck of unagressive tankmates. I mean hell, my 6 inch goldfish is more aggressive than my butterflyfish, or my DP's (can't prove the DP theory as they've always been alone)
