That's a good decision. Personally i like starting with a new fresh tank than adding too much to one tank. And I am sure you'll find space...... we all do hehe.

I sure hope I find space because my parents sure as heck won't let me put it somewhere other than my bedroom, and I have to save up some money for a new tank.

Haha yea I know how that feels. I am nearly 23 years old and have been living with my parents for the past two years and I have a 210, 2 55s, 120, 30, 20, 10 bettas...... lizards, snakes, a dog, turtles.... I fit all the tanks but two in my room that being the 210 gallon and a 55 gallon all the rest are in my room. Although all i fit is a futon and a desk in my room haha. But its worth it.

I should show my parents your post and maybe they will let me get a ten gallon. Just like if you want a cookie ask for a car first

Haha yea I think you can find a way to talk her into getting a 10 gallon. Although with all of my stuff I just went out and got everything and set it up before they came home and play like its been there for a month ahaha. After awhile they just got used to seeing it... now with all my tanks and animals a new one and they don't even notice cause there is already soooo many.

That's a good way to go Belack. It should be fun setting up a new tank for DPs. Check craigslist, and also see if any stores near you carry used tanks. There's one only a few miles away from me that has always carried used tanks in a back room, but only recently I found out about it!

We have a 10 gallon tank that was my brother's temperary fry grow out tank, but he has decided to start up another 35 to grow out his fry which means that I can maybe have the ten gallon for some DPs

could I put two females and one male in the tank so I could breed them?

Sure, if you can find them old enough to sex, something which is not likely at all. You just get 3, and hope you have at least one of each gender, and that if you have 2 males, they don't hurt each other.

Alright I'll do my best to sex them. Is there anything special I should do to get them to breed? I have heard about Java moss but is there anything else thet I need to do?

It's mostly up to them, you want a little current in the breeding moss, but not so much as to blow it around at all... just enough water going through it that the fish won't avoid it as "stagnant." They like to "do it" in private, so a good background will help, and maybe even background material on the sides of the tank would make them feel even more secure, if you don't mind doing it. Mostly, you need a gentle male puffer, and a willing female, and they will take care of the rest. There are two schools on dealing with the eggs - either vacuum them out, and raise them in a "clean" tank of some sort, or let them try to survive on their own, and remove them only when you see a tiny, TINY puffer poking around the tank.
