I don't have experience with freshwater/brackish puffers but I do know that with saltwater fish with bacterial infections - it is better to have the tank cooler as the bacteria do not "breed"/"multiply" as fast and thus the antibiotics seem to be able to work better.

Hmmm, interesting.
Anyone know about this? My room temp varies from 67-69. I'm gonna hope the B12 does it though.
Another option is copper. Very very carefully monitored copper. (Kids, don't try this at home!
)
But seriously, Copper may be an option. If all else fails it could be a last resort.

I thought this was internal infection (bacterial)....copper is for external parasitic infestations only.

Well, I don't know if its an internal infection, or if he still has more parasites.
I thought copper treated both internal and external parasites...
Its also possible he has been through so much he doesn't want to eat. Although it looks like he wants to, just can't.
I'm going to try the B12 before I go with Maracyn-2. Hopefully the B12 will take care of things...
Hopefully he doesn't have more parasites or an internal infection...

I think the 60's it a bit cool for your tropical fish. I'd get going on returning that heater for the "lifetime guarantee"!

I ordered it online. I already checked it out, and you need original receipt, original box, and send it all back to the compnay with a check for 10$.
The only part I have is the 10$ lol. I'll figure something out. Hopefully the B12 will solve my problems.
Although I am getting a job at my LFS soon!
Which means i'll get more money to spend on fishy stuff

Shame you still haven't got the receipt, I would have tried the manufacturer next to get it directly replaced with them as the website you ordered it from sounds like they are trying to make it as difficult as possible for you to get it replaced. Original box and $10, whats the money for, seems to defeat the purpose of the warranty.

Regarding the 10$, even though the product replacement is free, shipping usually is not.

I don't think Big Al's even charged me shipping, nor did they ask me to send them the broken one. Which, BTW, killed off my breeding pair of purple-spotted gudgeons & their fry.
