The roll on granite sounds like it would be neat too, I've been thinking about it a lot - I think I might just go all black with my shelves and cinder blocks - the rest of our living room decor is glass topped and iron or black and glass items anyways - it would keep the whole thing pretty uniform. I might even jump for finding a thick piece of acrylic to use as the shelf below, and if I can get my hands on some real thick acrylic for the top board as well... Maybe not though, have to see what I come across and can afford (that might be the long-term-upgrade, haha... )
