Is he having any trouble eating now? I would trim the teeth and then treat for IP's. He's thin but he doesn't have the pinched in look of a puffer that's heavy with heavy IP's. He needs to be eating properly to get the I Meds to where they need to be.

what is a healthy size.. is he still underweight average or obese?
do I need him to be fatter? chunkier?
is obese good for puffers?

Do you have any advice on getting weight off an obese puffer? My Frankie has a major pot belly but I only feed him small quantities every other day, sometimes even skipping 2 days. My hubby even get him to do laps but he's soooo lazy...

Obesity is just not good for any living thing!
no more mcdonalds fries for my puffer then =)
how do you know if a puffer is obese (besides the ones that looks like they puffed all the time of course) .. can this be judged only through visual?

yeah just one that looks puffed up all the time. Only way you can REALLY tell is if you weigh the poor thing and that isn't a good idea.
