I am ordering 3 of these guys here in the next couple weeks. I was wondering how many I can keep in a 30 gallon heavly planted tank? Please let me know. I am getting these for a great price, and can't pass this deal up.
Thanks

Re: Arrowhead
I would keep 1 in there. All 3 may perish, I'm afraid, if you keep them together. A good deal isn't usually a great idea for stodking up on puffers.

I figured that. I allready contacted my LFS that I trust, and they said that they would buy the other 2 from me. I think that $15 each isn't a bad price for arrowheads in my area.

Re: Arrowhead
I agree only one in that tank and explain to the store what they are taking in if thewy don't know. They will need 2 large empty tanks for them.
How big are they out of interest?

Re: Arrowhead
They are between 3"-4". This store knows about puffers as I have been trying to get them to bring some in. They got some a couple mirus' a couple months ago, and they had them in the same tank. I tried telling them not to put them in the same tank, but they did. One of them ended up being blind b/c the other one kept attacking him. After that they started believing me a little more on puffers.

Re: Arrowhead
Ya that is what I ment. They have learned from their mistakes, as all of us have. They have started to carry smaller brackish puffers, and now are starting to learn about more of the freshwater puffers. Now I can talk to them about puffers and they know what I am talking about. Sorry for the bad wording.
