SAP question

Hi all!
I'm thinking of getting some SAPs (Colomesus asellus) for my 35g that I'll be getting soon (36x14x16 I think...but I'm sure that it's 36 inches long). I'm planning on keeping the maximum amount of SAPs possible and definietly going to make it heavily planted. Also, I'm thinking of something like 160+ gps (and dont mind increasing it even more) as I heard that with non-territorial puffers such as SAPs the limit factor is the bioload.

I'v read that some people have kept 6 in a 36".Is this a bad idea?
Can I house 6 or may be about 4 SAPs here? (species only tank)..I get the feeling 6 is rather too much and the tank will look overstocked as far as the appearence of the tank is concerned.
Also, I'm not sure how much of current I would need. Can anyone give me any idea about it?

I have another option in mind. Either species only or may be I would keep about 2 or if possible 4 (I highly doubt it) and some other types of fishes with them to give some variety to the tank. What fish have been successfully kept with SAPs?

I'm very excited about this and looking forward but I don't want to end up with bunch of dead fish (as nobody does). So I wanted to first find out from more experienced puffer owners before taking any actions.

It's just that various people say various things about this, so I was kinda confused.

While it may be possible to keep more than generally recommended by the gallons per puffer rule under certain circumstances, those circumstances involve an unusually big tank with lots of room in every direction, or at the very least, a tank with a highly abnormal footprint giving them lots of space to swim fast in. A 36" tank isn't long enough a run for that. A 33 xlong is probably the smallest available tank giving any flexibility to the rule, I'd say 3 could go in one of those if well filterer and with extra large water changes. With SAPs, it's bioload your worry about, as territory is not an issue.
