My Fahaka

Post by Neilsie »

Hi guys,

I have recently purchased a Fahaka and he seems to be rather blotchy in colouration rather than when I first got him is this normal? He is feeding ok and colours up when he is swimming. I feed him one whole mussel a day is this to much or to little? The fahaka is about 6" long.

If his belly is slightly rounded, then eating the right amount. What are his water parameters and what size tank is he in? Any tankmates?

2 foot tanks vary from 20 gallons to 38 gallons, and 4 foot tanks vary from 55 gallons to well over 100, can you be more specific? Water parameters would be good too. If he rests on the bottom a lot, his colors might be changing then to blend in with the substrate. A lot of interesting decor helps keep puffers moving and entertained.
