I got my F8!! hehe

Post by VanillaShake311 »

I spent all morning calling around all over the Dallas Fort Worth area looking for an eight figured puffer in good health. I finally found a store at 2pm today that sold them. I was giggling the whole time. I got the healthiest brightest colored one. He's about an inch big and extremely active and curious. He hasn't sit still since I put him in the tank. He found one of the 30 small snails in there and spent the next hour hunting the rest down. I got to see him eat them and it was sooo neat looking. He also likes to kind of challenge the heater in the tank too. Like come really close to it and look it up and down like what in the world is that. He hasn't done much chasing up and down the glass mostly just been exploring.

I will try to post pics of him later tonight.

I feel like the happiest person right now to finally have a puffer. I can't wait to see him grow. How quickly do these guys grow btw?

Yea he's tiny. He still hasn't gotten all the snails in there. I can still see a few that come up to the surface line of the water so he's still got a few more to get. It's funny when people come to look at him and see this tiny little puffer in a tank all by itself. It's nice though... with as fast as their little bellies grow during feeding time its pretty easy to figure out how much is too much for the puffer ... hehe.
