Tank size for Fahaka

What size tank would one need to raise a relatively small Fahaka from around 3-4 inches? And what size tank would be suitable for life for one of these guys?

A 120 is ok, gives enough swimming room and enough turning room, but a 180 would be even better.

Basically they will grow somewhere in the 12-18"+ range, not including their tail (which can be pretty impressive).

We suggest a tank that's at least 4ft long, and at least 2ft front to back, to allow for turning room. Anything smaller is too cramped. So while a 120 works nicely, a 125 doesn't give them much turning room, front to back, so it isn't as suitable. Even though it has more volume.

But in short, a 120, 180 or 210 seem to be the favorites.

Yeah I would say the bigger the better really 180G would be cool. I would put the juvenile puffer in the the final tank rather than plan multiple tanks as the fish grows. This will ensure the puffer will be healthy, reduce stunting and not to mention the mount of stress cause by netting and transfering a large pissed off fahaka. Thats stress for the puffer and you
