100 gallon tank what puffer?

We ended up get for a 130 gallon tank, complete set up for 300 dollars we just got into the house today! So now were gonna set it up and start the cycle.

Craigslist. Had a couple of options and juts got lucky i guess. The guy I bought the tank from was selling it cheap, to make room for his 500 gallon tank o.O

So the levels dropped and everything, we dropped some damsels in and they seem to be doing fine. We pretty much feel in love with the Sappon(sp?) Puffer. Love the colors and he was very friendly!

The fish guy we were talking to we could have sea anemones is this true?

Are you using Damsels to cycle your tank? They're pretty much indestructible and some get very territorial with age, what kind did you get?
As for the anemone you need a very mature tank and it has to be very stable. Some of em you have to spot feed, and alot of puffers will eat the stuff off your feeding stick before you get it to the anemone or will go after your hand. My favorite Anemone is a Haitian Purple one, very cool looking. Some also sting and if it stings your puffer is he gonna turn around and shred it? You need the proper lights too, what kind do you have?
Again it all depends on the puffers attitude. I had 2 GSP's that would let anything in the tank, crabs and snails. My new GSP's attack my fingers if I go in the tank. When they were 2 1/2 inches in freshwater (it wasn't me who had them in there) they took out a 6" Yellow Lab Cichlid. Every puffer varies, just like a human. Some are mean and some aren't.
The way I look at it, if you get a big puffer whether nice or mean that's about all you can keep in your tank. If you get smaller puffers and they're nice, you can always add tank mates. A good smaller puffer is a Pink Spotted Puffer, I've never heard of one being aggressive, I've even had him in with my Dog Face and they cruise and hunt together, then the Marine Betta put an end to that, just made a half circle around the Pink Spotted and trapped him in a corner.

Alright, well I just got time to log in been so busy with work and such. Okay the tank is fully cycle with the five blue devils..... I have 4 JBL lights in the tank..... thats all over my head dont know to much about it. I am going tomorrow to go figure out what puffer i want.... so so so many to choose its almost to hard.


The great thing is, I just found out that my co worker is really good friends with the main disrubator of fish in the United States . I ma going the wearhouse tomorrow, this places ahs over 10,000 tanks running, every type of saltwater fish you can think of. I get to go in there and hand pick my fish and get it at wholesale. I've been told not to bring credit cards cause I will max them out. I let you guys know how it was, and I'll try to take pictures.

Please be sure to QT that puffer and any other fish before adding them to you display tank! The last thing you need is to introduce ich or worse to your newly cycled system.
