Well I have came up with yet another question on feeding my GSP. I have been trying to get some snails for him to eat, at the LFS they have some in freshwater tanks that are free and i get those, but I have no idea what kind they are. The main thing I'm worried about is that they won't stay alive long enough in my brackish water 1.014-1.016 for Poofy to eat . He doesn't ever seem to want to eat anything off the bottom, the clam i tried he looked at then hid from til I removed it. So my newest question is what types of saltwater snails will live in brackish?

Hmm... well, I know a lot of puffer-ers set up their own snail breeding tanks and usually only put the snails in with their puffer when its feeding time. Maybe if he doesn't like eating things off of the bottom, you can try to put the snail on the side of the tank as soon as you put it in?
Or, here's another good idea. Just get some tweasers, get a firm hold on the snail with them(but not enough to crush his shell) and hold it in the water for him. Its just an idea, but it works for Jet, my GSP every time...
Just remember, a snail a day keeps the dentist away...
I'll give both those a try, I put a few in yesterday and when they dropped in he caught 2 and ate them right up. There are 3 more messin around a plant, I'll catch them and try puttin a couple on the glass and the tweezers too.
