i would say fahaka would win if mine is anything to go by ! if i put my hand on the tank glass he attaks it my plants are either ripped up or bitten in half he even tried to chew the rock in his tank !

Although oscars would obviously get OWNED, there are some large cichlids that could put up a good fight (and even win) against a fahaka. The list consists of peacock bass, festaes, doviis, jags, and some others. Fahakas are awesome fish, and I hate to say it, but the truth is that they are not the ULTIMATE, as some of you seem to believe.

Clarias gariepinus, a large mostly piscivorous catfish could be a problem for fahakas in those areas these catfish have been introduced to by humans. They have consumed snakeheads as well as bichirs. Reaching 170 cm and 60 kg I guess they could seriously threaten entire fahaka populations. They hunt at night and even might surprise large puffers that are asleep.

That catfish is pretty awesome, but a bull shark could totally swim up river and kick its buttocks.
