Because I'm hoping that with the tiger barbs the male will not kill the female :P I'm just testing a little bit

The 14 tiger barbs eat it's own food and the puffers food!
The male doesn't have that much problem with the tiger barbs but the female doesn't seem to get all the food that she needs...

Any advice?
Drop in a cockle, and after 2 minutes take it out once the fish are "full".

The male is also looking great and seems to get more and more social with me :)
Uh-oh! It seems as though the male may have a thing for both of you females!

This happened with my dwarf puffers. I had three, and they all got along. Then one day I found one of them dead, stuck to the filter tube intake. The other two were then engaging in what I thought to be courting behaviour, with the male hovering over the female, and the female either cowering (or submitting) or trying to swim away from him. I thought that they were just displaying "approach and retreat" behaviour or the sort in which rats (and some fish) engage. However, after a few days, the female was beginning to lie in complete submission for minutes at a time while the male hovered over her. I didn't realise it at the time, but she was gradually grower ever-more weak. She died soon after, I assume from fatigue (exhaustion) or stress or both.

Is a similar situation occurring with your puffers?

WOW! I see you bought the most beautiful pair! They are beauties, both of them. And they seem to get along quite well. It was touching to see how the male behaved when he saw the female in the bag. That was one happy salivator! I still wish I had some company for Jack. He seems quite lonely, and is not socializing with me either. He mostly hide. He doesn't seem ill or anything, but he seems like he doesn't have the best out of life. BTW. Jack says "hi" to his former room mates  And of course good luck from both of us

Thanks Troender ;) He was so happy that I wondered why I separated them in the first place
Give Jack some time! It's just lately that my male took "contact" with me... And I've had him for a much longer time.

I'm so happy now!!! :D
The female is so much more active! And the male doesn't bother her much.
She is more used to the tiger barbs and yesterday I fed them some earthworms and she took it all ;)
The temperature is about 24/25C
