Have you tried java fern or anubias? They're supposed to have a bad taste. Is it just that he eats the snails from the leaves and nips the plants as well?

One of my baileyis does the same thing. She has only artificial plants in her tank.

he attacks the java fern and the anubias as well. everything has been demolished! there arent any snails in there for him to be chewing on....

hes ripping them up one by one.... i really want it to be a nicely planted tank, but its not happening!!

I think mine looks very nice with lots of artificial plants and driftwood.

The silk plants that are now available look very good once they age, better tahn plastic, try one or two and see if they get the same treatment

I agree with the above, you could try rockwork and driftwood with atatched java moss.

Indie try broad leaf amazon swords as Clooney also likes to hide under the big leaves even at his size. Your Fahaka may do the same and therefore leave them alone :D
