Bonzo Buzzsaw

Post by aquanaut »

:D Well our GSP was getting a lil too comfortable in the 125 community. Buzzing around chasing the shoal of Giant Danios, though he couldn`t catch them. Was leaving the bigger fellow alone though. So I set the 30 for him last night. Don`t you know it leaks! Will have to reseal the tank first.

Anyway set him up in the 20hex that was housing a terroristic 5" Pink male Convict which has been sold. Added some Malaysian driftwood to build him some caves and something to explore. When first adding him he didn`t like it! Nobody to play with! Stayed under the wood on the bottom. Added some bloodworms and he came out! Then went back to sulking.

I then added 10 guppies and now he is back to his old self... not sure if he will eat them, don`t care actually, because they are breeding so fast something has to be done to stop the madness :D

I added 1 TBsp of IO to a glass of water and mixed it up... did this 4x over the lasr day so as to get 1 TBsp per 5 gallons. pH test won`t work now( measures a flat 6 but 7 on all the other tanks)... so if my math is correct it should have raised the pH from 7 to 7.4 over the last 24 hours. Will buy a salinity tester and saltwater test kit this afternoon.

Gotta say I know why people love these critters... they are so interactive almost immediately. For a 1.5" fish it shows NO FEAR.

Long live Bonzo Buzzsaw!!!

That tank doesn't sound cycled to me. Is it? Glad to hear he's getting BW though.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

It is... been up and running for longer than 6 months. Thanks for the concern :)
I don`t keep the fish, they do that themselves. Me? I am just their janitor.
