Puffers for the New Tank
Puffers for the New Tank
Hey Guys,
I am interested in what you guys think. I am new to the puffer world, but I think they are the coolest fish. I would like to put in a couple DP's, and a couple Colomesus asellus in my 20 gallon tank. Curious as to what you think. Thanks again. This site is awesome!

Personal preference. Just realize that with SAPs, you're very likely going to have to do dental work periodically, even with a steady diet of snails.

Hey Ya
Best of luck, would love to hear how you get on. I'm very new too - I have had my 46Litre tank a week now which came with pump and heater - I'm yet to get gravel, plants and ornaments as I am taking my time and thinking it out - I swear the Puffers at my local village shop are DP and that is what the technical name corresponds to from the label on the tank but the guy that is selling them says that it is a GSP so I am a little confused and of cause want the right tank conditions for my Puffer and so I really need to know for certain what they are before buy one.
Would 2 dwarfs be ok in a 46L tank...I thought it was 56L until I got it home and the box said it was only 46L
If I have two puffers one will be called "Pippin" and the other will be called "Digit".
Do let us know how you get on and do share photos if you can.

Thanks for letting me know. Have to I'm so glad I found this forum everyone is so nice and helpful, although I don't have my little guys yet I come here regularly to read what everyone else is up to and their experiences - well done to everyone involved with keeping the board.Boxermom wrote:46L is about 12 gallons, so that's a good tank for 2 DPs.
