Are my Suvatti trying to mate?

Post by tryn30 »

I have 2 Arrowheads about 5 inches long ive had together in my 40 gallon for 2 months now. Despite what others have told me, they have never fought once and actually sleep and sit side by side like 24 7, <its cute>. Well recently ive been seeing one of them sitting on top of the other one. They just that good of friends or are they trying to mate? Despite having several caves the 2 actually sit side by side in the same cave all the time. Are my arrowheads mental or do some actually get along like this.

Oddly enough, I don't think that'll work strike. :D

I've noticed, however, that my baileyis tend to lay next to each other on either side of their barrier. I think I'm going to try removing it again in the near future and see what happens. Gotta get some slate first though.

You would be very aware if it was courtship. This is something like companionship. Those puffers that do get along always seem to lie onto of one another. The suvattii fry do it all the time and even seem to build walls 4 or 5 high.

I love that picture, it gets me every time. Reminds me of "bundles" at school.

Maybe it is just companionship. They will only lay eggs on black slate though? were do you find a suitable piece of that for your aquarium, home depot?
