OK, 2nd stage in - (s)he went into a 700ltr yesterday with an Eheim 2329 and an Eheim 2128 running on it.
Eating well (prawns and mussels), not showing interest in cockles with shell yet.
The new tank has a common sand substrate whereas the last one has black sand - today all seems fine but the colouration on the top of the body has definately gone to the colour of common sand - is this normal?
yeah thats a standard reaction. You will find that once happy and settled you will get deeper colours showing. When they are resting they will naturally blend in with the substrate and darken up once they start to move about.
Its great that the new tanki is so spaciuos, I am very jealous, are there any pics yet?
Went to a LFS today they must have had 7-8 MBUs for sale!! Would love to rescue them but costly and first floor flat might mean sharing them with the people below!!! Lol!!
My Puffers: 1x GSP (Bolla), 1x m. something. Bought as a leiurus, maybe a turgidus (Tiger), 1x c. irrubesco (Tott(a) aka Houdini) 1x c. salivator (Jack the Ripper), 1x m. cochinchinensis (Hufflepuff - R.I.P.), 2x c. lorteti (Tommy and Tigern = Calvin and Hubbes), 1x m. suvatti (Koseklumpen), 1x m. palembangensis (Dragonfly), 2x t. biocellatus (Koken and Fiken).
Oh look at that little chunky monkey. He's gorgeous. Its amazing to me how the other mbu differ to Clooney in regard to markings and face and body shape. Yours looks great BTW, lets see the tank too
