doesn't look like a leiurus, snout too short, at least I think that from the pics.

I'd say, it's a turgidus.
How long is he?

I agree with Corvus, looks very much like a Turgidus from what I can see of him.

It hides the snout on the pics. You can't see it, except from the front - and there you can't see the length of it.
Tiger is about 8 cm long, I think. I don't know its age.
As I said, the pics aren't good enough for identifying. You can't see it from the side, only from the front, and partly from behind (it has the face turned away, but the eye looking back).

He's a bit too scared of me yet. So far, I've only been mean. First buying him (which meant he was caught and put in a plastic bag - I didn't do it of course, but I was there). Then I had to put him in a 12 liter tank (because the tank he was supposed to have was broken) and at the end I had to transfer him into another tank, with not so many places to hide (will get better tomorrow). I tried to tempt him with a shrimp earlier, but he wouldn't touch it. I guess I have to be patient. With my GSP, it took some days to make it take the shrimp. But when it found out that it was quite good, it forgot all about being careful. Now it has a very violent way of eating. Not exactly nibbling... I'm very glad it's not my finger it attacks

I always have to laugh at it.

So we all have to be patient for some time, until Tiger gets used to his new home.

So far he's watching me, and trying to figure out who I am and what I am, and whether I am something to be afraid of (or rather someone that just doesn't matter). I love him

Finally a pic where you can see the snout. Bad pic, but you can see what we're looking for. I don't know why, but the snout seems a bit shorter on pictures. Or maybe it's really the eye that looks bigger?

Aaargh! I suspected it, when I realized that is was a rare puffer. But I've also realized that it's a lot of confusion around target puffers. Do you still think it's a turgidus?

I think it's getting a little more used to me and its enviroment. It's a little more active, even at daytime. And that means it will get easier to get better pics. Maybe in a week or two?

And don't look at the terrible color on my wall. Actually, it's a lot worse than it looks at the pic. It's not me who chose the color. That happened before I bought the house...
