Dwarf Puffers

Post by mmullane »

Hey Everyone, I'm new to the forum and to the world of puffers. I am thinking about starting a small puffer tank. Me and my roommate have Tanganyikan Cichlids right now, but i have been thinking of starting a small 15-20 gallon puffer tank. I was wondering of what type of puffer to get. One type that I saw was a dwarf puffer which seems to be good for smaller tanks. Also what is the availability on Dwarf puffers? All the help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome! Dwarf puffers are pretty common. They need a heavily planted tank and a fully cycled tank. A 15 or 20 would make a very nice home for a small group of DPs.
