Well....I bought some on my way home tonight....River Shrimp...They were "£1.25 a portion for around 20 - 30 shrimp" (that's what it said on the tank) I asked the guy if I could have half a portion as I had nowhere to keep them.. he said yes and I still reckon I must have got 20 shrimp for just 60p!!!!!!
They were only tiny though, about an inch to an inch and a half long...So mine worked out well cheap!!!!!
Puff ate a few (I didn't want to overfeed him)and the rest I gave to my Cichlids who loved them too!!!
P.S. I just took a look at Manutius's video and those are the same shrimp as what I bought

I regularly give my F8 live river shrimp from Maidenhead aquatics - I find them very useful for when I go on holiday - I just add 1 portion of about 20 and leave him to it. He usually has a rampage when I put them in at first (kills 4-5 for fun) then he limits himself to 1 a day or so. I have done this over a 2 week holiday without anyone having to come in to feed him. When i got back there were still 1 or 2 shrimps left alive, the puffer was looking well fed and happy and the water quality was still fine.
I think it really gives him something to do - you can see he enjoys the hunt!

No it wasn't from maidenheads. It was from an independent store. But a very big one that sells cats & dogs, Reptiles etc as well as a large aquatics dept.
My Puffer was the same...I put around 10 in there last night and he pigged out on about 3 ...when I got up this morning I thought he had ate them all but tonight i notice there are still 3 or 4 in the tank so...this has really solved my going away for 2 weeks problem as Ash did...I too will put some in my tank before I go away and at least Puff will then have his own supply of food whilst i am gone!!!
.........EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha cheers. The camera is good but my one criticism is that its no good for low level lighting unless you use the flash. With the flash off in these situations it becomes a bit grainy. But as you can see from the pics I have taken the rest of it it excellent. The anti shake feature comes in handy on drunken nights out
