Looking at various Puffer Profiles on-line I am seeing so much fluctuation in recommended water temperature for Ceylon's. Can anyone give me a more definite temperature for these fish.
At present my water is in the low 80's I remember reading somewhere that at a lower temp. (high 70's) their Puffer was much more active??? Do you think I should lower my temp. a little??
I'm not saying they are all giving different advice. I guess I worded my original question wrong.
Most suggest between 75 and 82...what I am asking is which should I be aiming at and are there any advantages or disadvantages to having water at a higher or lower temperature??
I always go on the cool side of ranges (most of my tanks are in the 75-76 range)
It slows the metabolism, increased oxygen content...and a little less $$ for heating...
Whether this is right or wrong...I dont know...but it has been working good so far.
