Hi
Does anybody elses puffer sulk if their routine changes?
When my son and I went to Barcelona in October my neighbour popped in to feed the fish and although she said my F8 and the dwarf puffers were very excted to see her, she didn't see my Muirus puffer at all!!! She dropped in the odd bit of food for him at my request but had to remove it uneaten.
I wasn't worried as we were only away for 5 days anyway but when we got back he was still in sulking mode and although he did get up he was stil refusing to eat his normal foods. He remained plump and healthy looking so I wasn't too worried at first but after a couple of weeks was getting a bit anxious and I managed to get some live Shrimp and after Quaranteening them they were all alive and well so I gave him two,He was very excited and probably very hungry by then and ate them with gusto. He was still refusing his normal cockle, mussell shrimp, squid and bloodworms etc. Well eventually the shrimps ran out and then low and behold this week he was swimmimg furiously and begging for food and once again is eating his normal frozen food again, so that has taken him about 8 weeks to forgive us for going away lol. Goodness knows what he si going to do when we go to Egypt in the spring lol
They sure do have their very own characters don't they!!!
Regards
Sue
