Will a knight goby eat all my bumblebee gobies?
Hi all,
This topic is as simple as it's heading. Will a knight goby eat bumblebee gobies? I'd love to introduce one into my tank but fear it will have my BBGs for breakfast!
Thanks,
PS - Merry Christmas!

My knights can take a silverside that's larger than a BB goby. Personally, I wouldn't chance it.

My Knight hasn't touched my BBG, and I got my Knight at 3 1/2 inches, while my BBG was only 1/4".
My Knight Gobi did manage to swallow a large ramshorn snail whole, so he definitely is capable of eating my now 2" long BBG, but I think it's all up to the personality of the Knight Gobi. If you don't want to risk it, it's probably wise. Knights are actually very bossy and aggressive, they can even boss puffers around.

Stigmatogobius sadanundio has a notoriously large mouth, easily capable of preying on small fish such as Brachygobius sp. which is actually a naturally occurring prey. I have observed these fish (Stigmatogobius sadanundio) in Indonesia, and after studying the feces, fish (unidentifiable species) where almost present in every sample.
Clearly not the smartest idea.
