I've got a UK 20 gallon long, and I'm fairly sure we used one bag of aragonite from the lfs. Fifteen quid springs to mind...it was over a year ago and I'm very old now, so my memory's not what it was.
I don't think substrates differ much in price...I've not noticed it at my lfs.
What're you gonna do with the tank?
Pami.
When I say fifteen quid, that's the price, not the weight...I think we got ten lbs, but I don't like deep substrate.
As I've split the thread, can you keep Qs about substrate etc to the brackish section from now on to avoid confusion?
I've just posted this in the hospital section by mistake!

these forums are going crazy for me.

15lbs is WAYYY more that you need for a 10g.

Try to keep a thin amount of gravel like under 1/2" for cleanliness

Just play it by eye, and estimate how much you will need.

BTW I just bought rubble coral from the LFS

Can you take this to the brackish section, guys? I split the thread earlier so that the parasite bit stayed here...I think I retitled the split-off bit "1 inch gsp".
Go over there for my comment on how much substrate and what to do with it

Stephen:

I suggest you check out the Library section of this forum -- some very informative and fascinating information therein. In particular, an article entitled "The Care & Feeding of Green Spotted Puffers" will most probably be of prime importance to you.
