I have a one inc gsp and is it that necissary for me to give it snails to eat for it teeth. It is hard to find snails so small (size of their eye). Is there any alternative food for there teeth. I have been feeding it lvie brine shrimp once a day.

That's a pretty sure sign of internal parasites. Is the fish very skinny, or does it have a weak appetite? If yes, you will likely need to treat for IPs.
As for substrate, I'd recommend using aragonite or crushed coral to assist in buffering the water. Conventional sand is not the best choice as it does nothing for the buffering and can be a nuissance to clean.
its not striny. i think both my gsp have internal parasits but i cant find a store by me where i can get some medication for them. They are both dark and skinny now.
Stringy waste isnt normal? I mean it doest hang from my GSPs, but they will occasionally have stringy waste. There are no other signs of internal parasites.
both my pufers died today. Iam going to restart the tank and put crush coral as my substrate how many pounds will cover a 10 gallon tank?
what kind of paresite medication should i get cant find that many out there.
What happened? Did you make any changes to the tank? Can you get us the parameters of the tank before they start to change..ammonia, nitrIte, nitrAte, temp, pH?
So sorry to hear that, but two sudden deaths like that sounds like something changed in the tank, and we need to work out what that was before you get your new puffers, as that'll help you with them.
