I am looking into getting a new tank.
hehe, went to court today and the landlord has to replace my aquarium and supplies.
I really want to go with freshwater puffers but do not know what is out there.
LFS have only Dwarfs but I am willing to order online from reputable site.
Any suggestions? I want something with a lot of personality and is active.
I am going for sand for the substrate and live plants.
Suggestions for future tank

If you are accustomed to handling sand well planted, it should be no problem for you. DPs are not at all choosy about substrate, they neither bury nor dig - Sleeping and napping is most often in bushy plants, and spawning is almost alwys exactly the same.
SAPs are extremely active, love planted tanks, but are not as interactive with their keeper as may puffers.

I am accustomed to sand. I've been using sand since my first GSP.
I prefer sand over gravel. I even had used it for my Gourami tank before the big move.
I called my favorite LFS and they stated if there was particular puffer I wanted, they could get it for me.
I would like a puffer that is bigger than Dwarfs. I may just settle for them since they are tiny and cute. They were marked down to $1.50 each yesterday at the LFS.
Darn, if I had my tank ready, I would have gotten all of them.
Please don't cuss or laught at me. But what does SAP stand for?
