Are there any puffers that stay in brackish waters for their entire life?
I am just researching puffers so when I get a new tank, I can decide.
I really don't want to go full marine again.
Any Puffers that stay brackish forever?

GSPs and ceylons can be kept at high end brackish conditions. A big part of the reason we suggest full marine is because they do very well in it, and because full marine is much easier to maintain through the use of live rock and a protein skimmer which can really help cut down on the need for water changes, and therefore salt.

C. psittacus can handle any specific gravity, but likely is best at mid to high. If they had looks like the F-8, they would be a more popular largish BW puffer.
Agree w/Phaedrus on the SW for GSPs and Ceylons - they are not obligate SW fish - it is just that we can keep water better easier at full SW than at high BW. Lots of high specific gravity partials are pricey.

Marine requires less water changes
Hi,
I read that a full marine requires less water changes, what cycle or frequency and percent of the total water, do you recommend for a full marine with skimmer and plants.

That would all depend in how your water parameters test out. If your ammonia/nitrites test at 0 & your nitrAtes are kept <20, with 10-25% WC, then that's what you can get away with.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
