Takifugu ocellatus?
i know these arent freshwater, but i juss saw a very active one at petland. they were selling it for about 9$ and other kinds of puffers too. i asked the guy and he said itz in a freshwater tank, no brakish or salt. i was wondering if it's possible to raise these guys in freshwater forever?

I believe midgetwaiter was keeping his ocellatus in cooler water (around mid 70's). I am trying to keep my temp up to that range but the apt. get so freakin' hot and I have a fan blowing across the water to cool it down.
SO far so good. Unlike other species of puffs that I have kept, this one grows very fast...doubling in size in less than 2 months.
They are aggressive as heck though towards other puffs and seems to ignore other fish.
