DP behaviour

My female DP has become very aggressive towards the male she lives with. She never used to be aggressive at all. This behaviour just started. They were just circling around each other with their dorsal and ventral ridges erect. I've seen the male do this before but never the female. However, she wasn't able to erect her ridges to the extent the male could but she was definately trying to. Do females regularly do this? Could it be courtship behaviour?

I think it might be a mating thing, but I could be really wrong...as I look forward to the answer to this question because I am in the market for a DP.

I really don't know much about DP behavior, but you might want to invest in a tank divider or another means of separating them very soon, just incase this isn't breeding behavior. DPs can hurt and kill one another, just like any other puffers.

Yea, I've been watching them a lot lately. I have a divider handy just in case it gets worse.
