I'm pretty sure in the new millenium black is optional - red, purple, green - they're all fair game now.

I finished the new Potter BTW. Since my wife read it first, it had an increased SG thanks to the sad ending.

I have a brackish tanks and use saltwater tests.
I also use Instant ocean for 2 years now

Salinity is 1.015
Ph = 7.7
kh is 7*dh

I've noted this quote in the article:

In marine aquariums the KH is supplied by the synthetic seawater mix used to make saltwater. The KH level will depend on the particular brand of salt.


So it's also true for BW... May be there is a site out there that made not of the KH level attained by each of the marine salts vendors????
