HELP!!!
I am trying to order some things for the new snail tank so that I can feed the new coming DP's. I know that all I really need is a filter and heater, but what filter would be good? It is a 7.5 gallon cube tank. I was thinking about the Eheim Aquaball- 2206 or the 2208. What do you suggest? and what can I do to make sure that the snails will not get sucked into the filter?

Pretty much any filter will do.
I prefer a hang on back type filter with sponges to remove the poo. You'll have to do frequent large (75-90%) water changes anyway.
I've found that no matter what I do, snails will get in some how. You just have to rise the filters out when you do water changes. You could try wrapping the intake with filter floss. I stopped doing that because the floss would get clogged very quickly with poo and muck.

LOL! I am no fan of the Fluval 2+, although I was of the original Fluval 2, and have many of them. I've had to go to Aquaballs to avoid the 2+, and I don't care for the Aquaballs either, but for me they do work better than the 2+. I do wish Eheim would restore the earlier internal line - it was quite user friendly to me.
