How Effective are Real Plants

Hi Everyone i'm New to having my GSP and i know they get bored easily so i bought some real plants but they still seem bored i've try re arrnaging the plants a few times but still they're bored, soo i was thinking how effective are the real plants as to helping with the water condition, and to reduce their boredem, and also i have one more question it seem that my filter always gets clogged up with the real plants i use, is that a problem? and i hear when the plants die they release amonia, which is kinda annoying so basically i'm trying to create a not so boring enviorment for my puffers, and i've bought so many stuff but they're still bored, could it also be my tank? i have a 10 gallon tank right now and i'm thinking about getting a bigger one

10 gallons much too small for a single GSP. They require 30g each. The small size of the tank is probably the major factor in their boredom. They like to have lots of complex things to explore in and amungst.

Getting at least a 30g tank should be your first priority.

Also, GSP are brackish fish, meaning they need marine salt in their water. Plants will die in brackish water.
