Need help for puffer ID (PICS ADDED)

a LFS new me has three puffers in labelled as Mekong puffers.Now they are not T. suvatti. One is most definatly a T.cochinchensis but the other two I cannot tell.
My guess is that they are Tetraodon turgidus, the problem being they are extremly light in colour - light sand to almost pink.Do they get this colour or am I looking at another species. The substrate was a light coloured sand.Any ideas?

A pic sould really be needed for ID. Many puffers do lighten up w/stress or substrate. My GSPs actually get grey with almost whitish spots where their black ones were, when sleeping at night.

Light sand coloured upper.Belly completly white.Darker brown spots with Pale orange spots within.

Is there any possibility that this frightened beauty is a T. pustulatus variant (i.e. X-River puffer of Africa)?

I think that is a Tetraodon abei. See Woland's post about them in the Freshwater puffer section.

Yup, that's the 1st puff that came to mind after seeing pics. Congrats! Looks like these puffs are in Europe, maybe coming here too?

Wolands has loads of green mine has none.
Sean pics show a red tail spot- mine and Wolands do not.

After my first post that one was a fangs perhaps not now.Some seem to have the ' fangs' spot whilst other don't.

Wow, we also saw one of these fish in our LFS this weekend, we were quite convinced it was an abei and now even more so

He was quite a cutie and very cheap too about Â£8 I think, it was also labelled as a mekong puffer too, so maybe they were from the same batch, where do you hang out Rocker??? we are in West Sussex
