SkeptikaL, the information that LL has given you I can back up from experience. They can survive, but growth takes forever.

Java Fern will attach to drdriftwood eventually but I wouldn't suggest it for 2 reasons: The roots will take a long time to attach since it is in brackish. Aswell as that the driftwood will turn your tank water yellow and it will rot. If you are that desperate to have Java Fern on driftwood it is best to buy it pre-grown on driftwood but I do not recommend it out of experience.
Whats the point of a signature?!

Plus when the wood decays IME the PH drops.
IMHO, get silk plants. The flow with the water and look live with the right angle of light and other decor.

Algae is a plant is it not...it seems to do well in all water conditions...
I also wanted to plant my F8 tank, but I am having enough issues learning the ropes with a FW planted tank...and my F8 tank configuration is not good for plants (hex tank too deep, poor light, bad substrate, ect)...fake plants are not that bad, silk ones look realistic enough, and you can pull them all out, and get them outta the way when you clean your tank.
Calm down. I'm sorry, but i thought this forum was to help people? If not, guess I'll have to look elsewhere? What happened to decency?lisalisa wrote:Wood decays pretty swiftly in BW.
I'm not sure why you ask the same questions over and over again though. You asked if mosses do alright, and as I said twice before, Java moss is your answer.
Anyways, I have wood in there now with no problems, as far as yellow water is concerned. And as far as plants are concerned, I think I might just stick with a buncha Java fern. I got this sand that just doen't look well with fake plants... makes everything look bare. I'm going to get some rocks also to help this issue. Thanks all.
Sorry Skeptical, its just that we keep answering your questions and you keep asking the same ones. We are not trying to be rude or indecent.

I'm not asking same ones. I'm making sure that was all you thought could fit. Nothing more. No need to get pushy or rude. If you think I'm being retarded you all could simply have courtesy and ignore my post, call me stupid and end it there. No need to act like a... well.... you all get the picture...
As far as I can see no one is being rude nor pushy and connotation on text can only be assumed. No one is calling you stupid or retarded, it just gets frustrating a question more then once.
