does this work out? or they will fight to death? because i've heard from some people saying that two fahaka can go together.

They most likely will fight. It depends on the individual personality of the puffer, but generally, it's not a saef gamble and it rarely turns out well.

On a tandem... IMO, 90% of fahaka owners have no business actually owning them because they either have no clue how to meet their needs, or know what they are, but choose not to.

Those pictures don't really tell much of a story. They're 2 juvenile fish, I would assume less than a year old. I wouldn't house 2 fahakas in the same tank.

How large are they?
How large is the tank?

I completely agree with Fella, those are just babies (look at the size of the gravel) and have not even begun to mature and get their adult personalities. Male Fahakas are known to be one of the nasties, most viscous puffers you can get, though of course they all have their own personalities.

Not to mention you'd probably need at least a 210 gallon setup to house both of them, with a back up 120 always ready to go in case the need came up to seperate them.

Oh dear this is going to end badly.

If you are going to keep them both at least have some measures in place for when, not if, when they start tearing into each other.

A big tank like Myaj said and some way of dividing it securely and providing a stable environment either side or another tank. If you can't do this I would get rid of one before you come home one day and find chunks of Fahaka all over your tank.

It would be like the puffer version of Highlander "There can be only one".

If you guys look closer, I see 3 fahakas. The top pic may have a fish in the reflection but in the bottom pic, all the way to the left is a 3rd tail.

Yep can see the 3rd tail now. These pics are from different sites, maybe this currently is just a research post?

Khoatran are you just doing some research at the moment into Fahakas (which is great) or have you already made a purchase?

yes i had already purchased 2 fahaka and going to get them deliver to my door on july 7th and the guy who work at the warehouse said that they both are in a 15 gallon tank for three - 4 month together peacefully and they are 5 inches long. i did mention to the guy couple of times that did they fight and he said no. and besides i heard some people keep two fahaka together before and it work out sometimes but not all fahaka. i think i'm getting a male and a female fahaka.

There's no way they can guarantee a male and female Fahaka. There's no visual sexual differences between them and even then if you got a male and female it wouldn't make one bit of difference, they could still tear each other apart.

A 15 gallon tank for 3-4 months is very tiny as well. There's a good chance they could be stunted already.

did you read the story above? This was done by a pufferkeeper of close to 50 years!

What size tank do you have for the 2 of them? Are you planning on using a divider?
