Thanks a bunch guys. I went out this morning and bought a bag of Instant Ocean Sea Salt and am letting three 4gallon buckets settle with the salt and awaiting the water change. You can check out my setup here:
Actually yes - it is probably better to make the change over a few weeks than all at once. It is not an emergency life-saving measure, it is long-term life extending measure.
I've had a chunk of cuttlebone in with my GSP all week and he hasn't even noticed it.... hmmm Think I'll just use the rest to breed some ramshorns instead
i've never tried this, but I have heard of a way to dry on some garlic enriched krill meat, or any other frozen food onto a piece of cuttlebone or coral skeleton, and let the puffer rasp away at it. i have no idea if this even works or how efective it would because I have never tried it.
