Just saw some singapore wood shrimp at my LFS, WOW never saw such a big shrimp before... very neat.
So... do you think one or two could live in my DP tank? I've tried ghost shrimp in there and after a few days I can't find them anymore (so I think they before yummy snacks) but there is no way a DP could eat the wood shrimp (although they might harass it to much?)
Anyone tried this combo? What do you think? Its a 35g heavily decorated tank with 6 dps.
Singapore Wood Shrimp & DP's?
Ok then there goes that LOL hmm... maybe one for my community tank then.
So far I have a couple large ramshorn and one olive nerite in with the DP's, the snails play dead all day long (ie stay in the same spot with heads hidden) but come out at night as soon as the lights go out and the DP's go to sleep and creep around so far its working out.

Watch your ramshorn, keep an eye on his foot. Mine took so many bites out of the foot of my very, very large mystery snail that its foot had scalloped edges all the way around.

Be sure to buy cyclop-eeze if you get a wood shrimp. Wood shrimp are filter feeders and need small particles of food to eat.

I don't do anything to feed mine and they are doing very well, but they are in a heavily planted tank with a decent bioload so there's plenty for them to filter.

In planted tanks small inverts (fw planktin in a sense) will be around the leaves and eat decaying leaf matter.
