GSP got picked on...by a Molly.

I got a GSP about a week ago..and I cycled my tank with a couple mollys. The LFS I got the GSP from had them in freshwater so thats how I cycled the tank (I'm slowly adding salt). So I added the baby GSP to the tank when the Molly was still in there..and they seemed fine. But I fed them bloodworms that night and the Molly was picking on the GSP! So I took the molly out and moved him...I was just surprised at how docile the GSP was!

Well a lot of puffers are shy and skittish at first. How big was the molly? Can you get a pic of the GSP? just wondering

The Molly was around the same size as the GSP, maybe a little longer. But he wasn't really trying to eat the bloodworms or get them from the GSP..he wouldn't eat them. He was just being a bully :19:

Please make those pics smaller. I hope those worms fatten up soon, otherwise you may need to treat for internal parasites.

We limit picture sizes to no more than 800 pixels horizontal or vertical. You can use almost any image editing program to shrink your pics. Another option is to use the free online service at http://imagesquash.com/

Mollies can hold their own against most fishes.
I have a batch of wild-caught Mollies in my brackish tank.
No aggression beetween them and my puffers.
Merely respectful distance!

I believe that PP had to re-house a sailfin molly because bullied her GSP's?

mollys are no joke! i bought them for my 10gal betta tank, to have some more fish in there.. and they kicked the cr*ap outta my betta! i also a few years ago had them in my 20 gal mbuna cichlid tank, same thing happend! they are driven to eat! haha. and they dont like to share
