So I see online that they are indeed a brackish/marine species. Very similar to GSPs in water needs.

I like that orange color under the fins, although I like the Stars and Stripes more. But a major plus is that it gets smaller than the S&S at 12".

Think one would be fine in a 55G all by itself?

I think a 55g would be fine for one, but I dont have my book handy for max size. I dont trust what the site sais...

IMO thats too small of a tank. I would atleast go with a 125 to 180 for one of those guys.

A 180 seems a little excessive. Is'nt that the size that people keep fahakas in?

Plus I seriously doubt that it will acheieve that size, I havnt found any records of people acheiving 12" on one of these guys.

I have seen large specimins in captivity before. In the end this species will need a large marine tank... Allowing space for LR and movement space for the puff IMHO would go for a 125 atleast! A 180 being the largest.

I agree with Tihsho here. After live rock is added, a larger tank is needed.

agree with LL and Tihsho, a 125-180 would be best, depending on how much rock you have in there.

Either way thats close to Fahaka size. Be there LR or no LR. IMO I would have atleast 125 gal worth of swimming space.
