Leopard Puffer
My friend recently purchased two leopard puffers from an LFS and were destroying his community tank (pretty bad idea in the first place). I had a spare 20 gallon high tank so I offerred to take care of them because the store wouldn't accept them back. I have read a good deal on puffers but have come away with very little knowledge of caring for them except for their diet and they prefer salt in the water. If anyone has had success in caring for "freshwater" puffers or any knowledge on the matter, please let me know. Specifically, how much salt to put in their water (if any is needed, ideal tank setup, or any other advise anyone can give..Thanks

First, the odds are good that your "leopard" puffers are GSPs, Green Spotted Puffers, Tetraodon nigroviridis, and they are BW to SW fish.

Check out the article in the library on keeping GSPs (leopard puffers). Wait a second - some LFSs are calling dwarf puffers leopards these days, too, so go to http://www.pufferlist.com and identify your puffer.
If it's a GSP (best bet, most often called Leopard puffer), they're brackish and the article in the library will help you out immensely.
