fishbase.org is a great starting point

apparently its down atm.
the guiena fowl puffer as its also known hits 12+ inches is a marine puffer

plays well for a puffer, but some are holy terrors
125-180 for an adult

and is not considered totally safe, but get a young one that you can get to feed on quite a bit and you should be ok with most corals.

Arothron meleagris can reach almost 20 inches (personal experience as well as Scott Michael's reference in Marine Fishes).

Unlike their diodon friends, most arothrons are not reef safe. At some point they will much on hard corals as well as mushrooms, ricordia, xenia, etc.

They come in many morphs - yellow phase, brown or black with white spots, mixed (yellow with brown/black & white phases).

Do not mix the yellow with the brown/black phase - this is a set up for trouble.
I am going to try to post a pic I took while diving in Cabo Pulmo Mexico - keep your fingers crossed :?

Thanks - unfortunately I could not bring him home from the diving trip.

How do you post pics directly on thread - I am a computer idiot (sorry).

Thanks.

To post images, the easiest way is to have a place to upload them like photobucket then copy the link labeled [img][/img] and paste it on your post.

lol, i dont think so babe, i had to grab a totally different address for the photo to get it to show :P

kelly when you want to post off your pages on marine depot, it seems that the address doesnt always match right and it gives the page instead.

right click on the photo and copy image location. then paste that on here in the [img] [/img] parts
