lorteti questions?
If you want to look into tank mates I would look towards fast species or ones that tend to hide well. I have corries with mine and they are perfectly fine, but then again nothing IME has ever gone after a cory cat. Along with the corries are Endlers livebearers that got put there by accident...

Try keeping them with a Fahaka (crunch!) or a Palembang (party time).Tihsho wrote:but then again nothing IME has ever gone after a cory cat.
I've kept Corys with C. irrubesco without problems though.
In fact the Corys bullied the irrubesco...
On the other hand, said irrubesco rid the tank of all Ancistrus, Oto's and amazingly enough 10+ Tiger barbs.
You never know with puffers...

Nawww. Can't be true. 99% of the people that see corries are like "They are so adorable!!!" Seems like all of the fish I've had see them the same way. But, as you said, depends on the puff.Woland wrote: Try keeping them with a Fahaka (crunch!) or a Palembang (party time).

Yeah! Corys are nice sight as they school over the gravel in tight formation.
I've never tried keeping Corys with a Fahaka,
but I have a vivid imagination after my specimen "Babe" killed and ate a Pleco much bigger than her.
I bought a batch of wild caught Mollies last summer (I can hear my GSP fiesting on fry as I write),
and the guy had a bag with 20+ corys which he had been stucked with.
Threw them into the bargain.
I put them in a 180 gallon with my two Palembangs.
Took a week...

Poor Corries... Guess those palembangs were not use to tank mates, or atleast bottom dwelling tank mates.

Sorry to hear of the bad timing. Seems that in the end without planning ahead you lose by a hair. Never know, the ones you may have been looking at may have degraded over the time they were in the store.
