Hi! Soon to be Dwarf Pea Puffer Parent

Post by Lillith »

So happy to be here!
I am a soon to be dwarf pea puffer parent.
I ordered 8 baby peas and they will be here Tuesday!
They will get a (to me) luxurious 20 gallon tall heavily planted tank. Current inhabitants are bladder and ramshorn snails, shrimp, and 4 peppered Cory’s.
There is an air stone on one side and a sponge filter on the other. Water parameters have been perfect and stable. The water tends to be on the softer side (under 7).
I have a total of 8 tanks with various tenants.
All tanks except the newest one have abundant snails in.
I also ordered live daphnia and plan on raising them. The puffers are used to eating these at the shop I bought from, as well as frozen foods-which I already have.

Congrats on your purchase!
I would add Tetra Safestart to your filter when you add the puffers, to carry the extra bioload.
