I brought a gsp 2 days ago and woke to find him sadly gone, the day before he was ver y very slimy it was covering his eyes and all, no Grey belly or anything still looked to be perfect as far as that goes full of color etc roughly inch and a half big rthe pets tore had him in fresh water so I put him in my fully cycled fresh water tank the pH was 8 and 0 nitrates and ammonia according to my API test kit, I really want to get another but I'm lost as to why this guy died and would like to male sure I haven't done anything wrong, I called the store amd they say all their other gsps are fine and healthy I'm just lost as to why he was the only fish in the tank I set it up for him, so I can be he was attacked or anything.
Tldr gsp died not sure why

0 nitrates

Sorry it took me so long to get to this post! Having computer problems… if your tank is cycled you should be showing some nitrate. How exactly did you cycle the tank?
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
