Hey everybody, I'm learning so much from this forum and the articles - so I think if I combine everything you all have taught me, we can create the "perfect" home for my yet-to-be-bought DWs.
I have a 29 gal. Eco-Complete planted tank. To save money I used fake logs and decorations from my early aquarium days and lots of live plants from my big FW aquarium. As recommended, I have lots of caves for hiding and water sprite (I think that's what it is) tied to twigs from my pesticide-free garden to break up lines of sight. There is a HOB filter rated for 50 gallons on the talk and a sponge filter with airtube in the tank. That should make for plenty of filtration. As I use an Aqueon faucet water changer, I can easily do the same twice weekly 50% PWC on this tank as I do with my fully stocked 55 gal.
I'd like to have four Dwarf Puffers and am willing to trade in the excess males until I reach a ratio of 1 male: 3 female. The puffers at my LFS are too small to sex.
I order 15 MTS from a fellow forum-mate online to "seed" the tank with. I understand the DWs appreciate hunting the baby MTS and slurp them out of their shells. I have posed snails in my big aquarium to feed, also. I plan on soaking frozen bloodworms and black worms in the liquid vitamins mentioned elsewhere. I'll see if my LFS carries black worms.
My LFS recommended I dose the tank with PraziPro as indicated on the bottle, then a course of Maracyn Plus a week after finishing the PraziPro.
Am I missing anything? Any aquascape changes/additionsI should make? I'll try to post pics if I can re-size them small enough.

Your plans sound good!
I wouldn't dose any unnecessary meds, unless you ID a problem. Dosing the water will do nothing for IPs, they need to be treated internally.

You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Welcome! You have done your research well! Looking forward to seeing pics of your tank and DPs.
With PP on both counts. The setup sounds fantastic, and IMHO, tend to avoid medicating unless necessary.
But it's good to have Prazi-Pro on hand. You can read abt IP treatment in the 'Learn' section located above.

if your MTSs get out of control, they will remain out of control
also, most think along the lines that their shells are too hard and may cause injury

Definitely did your research always refreshing to see. As PP said I wouldn't recommend dosing any med's unless there is signs of something wrong. However I always food dose prazi with new specimens and every couple months for piece of mind. The mts should be fine for DPS only. As you said the do suck the snail out of the shell rather than crushing.
