This hobby is just presenting problem after problem.
I've been putting it off for a long time but I'm just gonna go for broke, bite the bullet, and convert to live rock.
The water changes I have done have rarely been enough for the tank. I've had brown algae problems which I thought was red slime for months, if not a year, right up until the point I bought a treatment and then realised.
I've got a year now in which I am flexible. Busy, but flexible. After this I am going to be swamped in university and work stuff. At this point, I either need to make this hobby practicable and enjoyable again or give up. But I'm not giving up easy.
I think I'll hire someone to help me with the process because frankly I'm sick off messing about and learning the lessons the hard way.
Here's hoping I don't just end up down a few hundred pounds and with problems which mean the whole ordeal was pointless.
I don't even know anymore.
This is my last stand.
